A Disney Tech Christmas: Part 3

Posted on

BuzzPlayer

Alright, so the last Disney Christmas item may have been a little expensive.  I’ll try to make up for it this time.  This gift idea features everyone’s favorite intergalactic space ranger in a rather festive mood, because the third edition of A Disney Tech Christmas is the iDance Buzz Lightyear MP3 Player by Thinkway Toys.

First and foremost, the product isn’t named quite as it should be.  It’s not really an MP3 player.  It’s actually a speaker for an MP3 player.  You cannot store music on this device – only play music already on a separate device that is not included.  In other words, you can attach an MP3 player (or CD player, for that matter) to this toy but not use it as an MP3 player.

It does come with all of the cables you need.  All you have to do is connect Buzz’s dock to the headphone jack of your device and Buzz will start grooving to your music!  There are two different dance speeds: regular and fast.  He can also act as a regular speaker sans the dance moves.  Buzz comes with 10 built in sayings (just like the real action figure), and he can be removed from his base to be used as a regular action figure.

The iDance Buzz Lightyear is 8” tall (it sounds like that’s the height of the figure itself without the base).  You can get it from DisneyStore.com, and it’s on sale for $34.99 (regular price is $39.99).  I also found it on Target.com for $29.99 and Walmart.com for $29.87.  If your child would like a speaker for their MP3 player, the iDance Buzz Lightyear might be a fun option.
